We recently had the pleasure of speaking to the ‘Queen of Skin,’ gorgeous Abigail James, one of the most well respected skincare and wellbeing experts within the UK and a firm favourite amongst celebrities and those who simply want the best for their skin.
We asked Abigail to share some of her beauty and wellness secrets with us… and this is what she had to say..
Describe yourself in 3 words
Independent, feisty and thoughtful.
What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness combines the mind and body – balance – anything in excess is unhealthy. We need to look after our body physically, externally and internally and it’s also essential to look after our mental health. If the mind goes off, which it does from time to time, everything else becomes a lot tougher.
The one step of your beauty regime you couldn’t miss out?
Cleansing, if the skin is cleansed correctly – not over stripping the skin – all your other skincare choices fall better into place. I love using a cream cleanser now my skin is a little drier than it used to be. I find I can also massage with this, cleansing to me is a morning and evening ritual for myself.
The beauty and wellness advice you would give your younger self?
Don’t be so hung up over the physical exterior, eat for health, have more self confidence in all that you do.
Your dream wellness goal for 2019?
Making time once a month to have a holistic treatment and to get back into regular workout sessions. It’s so difficult to fit it all into such a busy schedule and with children, but the mind benefits as well as the body.
Your go-to fitness activity?
Yoga which I love, spinning which I have a love hate relationship with.
